The bizarrely shaped lava formations of Dimmuborgir, reminiscent of the crumbling ruins of castles and towers, are the highlight of this region. You can feel the presence of elves and trolls, which, according to Icelandic mythology, have their home here.There are several paths winding through this lava field, but the combination of blue, red and yellow gives you a complete experience of Dimmuborgir.
