The source of the Livenza alla Santissima is fed by the waters that come out of the limestone rock of the Carnic Pre-Alps. The quantity of water is such that the river becomes navigable a few meters from the source. According to legend, a capital was built near the spring to commemorate the appearance of the Holy Trinity to the Emperor Theodosius (473). In a short time the place became a destination for pilgrimages and rituals related to fertility. A few meters from the source stands the church of the Holy Trinity, rebuilt and enlarged in the 16th century. A beautiful arched portico leads directly inside the Sanctuary where you can admire remarkable works of art among which the wooden altar depicting the Holy Trinity by Domenico da Tolmezzo (1494) stands out, as well as frescoes and paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries century.
