Giretto da Gorizia a Udine passando per il Collio che al di là delle stagioni regala sempre scorci molto belli. Passando dalle parti di Brazzano e Dolegna si vedono molti smottamenti e fa impressione osservare che i vigneti erano sommersi (foto n°17) dall'acqua tracimata dai vari rivoli del territorio dopo le intense pioggie di un paio di settimane fa.

Giro facile con scorci sul Natisone in luoghi in cui non ero mai stato. Un tratto era particolarmente fangoso. Dopo Bolzano non sono riuscito ad accedere al fiume in quanto il sentiero era impraticabile causa rovi e piante inestricabili.

Il Monte San Simeone sorge sopra Bordano (UD) nelle Prealpi Carniche, dominando il Lago di Cavazzo. È raggiungibile per strada o tramite sentieri CAI e offre un ampio pianoro panoramico con vista sulla pianura friulana da dove si effettuano dei lanci con il parapendio. Si possono ammirare anche i grifoni della vicina riserva naturale di Cornino che sfruttano le correnti ascensionali per librarsi in volo passando vicino al pianoro precedentemente citato. Il monte prende il nome dalla chiesetta di San Simeone (XIV sec.). La montagna ospita faggete, vegetazione calcareo-termofila e una fauna ricca, tra cui caprioli, cinghiali e farfalle, simbolo del territorio.👋
