Going on trail hunting in bike-untypical countries always carries a certain risk. Insufficient map material, scant information - a flop is often pre-programmed. Not so on this trail in the Ala-Artscha National Park south of Bishkek. From top to bottom you can expect consistent driving fun, which could hardly be better provided by a laid-down trail. In fact, there is almost a suspicion that the park rangers themselves have to be passionate mountain bikers, as ingenious as this path is laid out. Nevertheless, caution is required in some places, as the path leads sweaty close to the abyss.
