Typical of Stenbjerg Landingsplads are the white tool sheds from the time when coastal fishing was practiced on the beach. Here the fishermen pulled their boats ashore with the help of capstans and the catch was prepared in the houses for resale. Coastal fishing was risky and exposed to the forces of nature, which is why professional fishermen moved from Stenbjerg to Hanstholm harbor in the early 1970s. Today the boats are smaller and can be maneuvered with a tractor.

Hiking

The small visitor center of the Thy National Park right on the landing stage is worth a visit. The volunteers are happy to have a nice chat. The small exhibition is well worth seeing, and you can also buy postcards, books and magnets.

Coffee, tea and cocoa as well as small snacks are also sold, which you can enjoy wonderfully on the comfortable bench in front of the house.
