No matter which side you go up to. It is landscaped impressive with great views. In addition, almost traffic-free. Always worthwhile.
Combining the Passo della Forcella and the Passo della Scoglina with Barbagelata (to get from the Fontanabuona to the Trebbiatal), this results in the "easiest" route, with the lowest slope percentages.

Barbagelata is not a real pass but a collection of houses on top of the ridge. This separates the Fontanabouona from the Trebbiatal. In clear conditions you have a unique view. You can see the coast along the Apennines to Monte Fasce. On special days you can also see a large part of the main Alpine ridge at the end of Piedmont.
If you drive in the direction of Passo della Scoglina, there will soon be two more curves with equally magnificent views.

At the end of the country, coming from the Scoglina Pass, there is a very fresh source. The best place to fill your water bottle :-)
