It's a long way up, especially on a loaded bike. Hard terrain and probably worth going that little bit further north to reach the Icknield Way access from the main road.

A test of balance before they harvest too. Cycled in late July before it had been harvested. The track sprayed off by the farmer was only about a foot wide. On the steeper parts and with 50 miles in my legs top concentration was required !! 🤣
