The flood retention basin in the Christental can be hiked on a walk of about 800 meters. It should be noted, however, that the inlet of the lake runs directly over the path. In order to reach the other side dry, two large stones were placed in the streambed.
Especially for older hikers, who are not so good on foot, this place could possibly cause difficulties. Of course, the difficulties also depend on how much water the stream has.
The lake is about 220 meters long and has a water surface of about 1.4 Ha.
Swimming, boating and ice skating are prohibited on the lake. However, no one really minds when you treat your feet in the fresh water after a long hike a little cooling.
