Here there was a former ascent to the Pfaffenstein, the so-called Alte Wirtsstiege. The climb consisted of iron brackets on a 20 m high rock wall. Many of the iron clips have been removed or are in poor condition. Securing like on a via ferrata is not possible. The inspection without securing is life-threatening, the remaining iron clamps can also break.

A really difficult climb over old iron braces. But before you reach the first bracket, it is good to climb a good five meters free on the rock. And even half way there are more than tingling spots. These stairs are definitely still considered locked.
