You can reach the wide, grassy southern ridge of Spieljoch via the hiking trail below the Seekarspitze. The path up to this point is only recommended for experienced people. Sturdy shoes, sure-footedness and a head for heights are required. Partial rope protection!

To the hikers with dogs:
We chose the route starting at the Erfurter Hütte and over the Rofanspitze towards Hochiss. Very nice tour, BUT the ascent to Hochiss from Spieljoch is not safe with a dog in my opinion (very steep, rope to hold on to the side), so we had to break off there.

Mountaineering
Although "only" B/C almost more interesting than the Hochiss part of the 5 summit via ferrata. Two climbs have to be mastered, partly earthy and crumbly, so uncomfortable. In the middle a narrow grass edge, vertically down to the north, steep crags to the south.
