The Margravial Opera House in the Upper Franconian city of Bayreuth is a theater building from the 18th century. In Bayreuth it is only called the “opera house”, whereas the opera house built by Richard Wagner is called the “festival hall”. After the principality of Bayreuth was sold to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1810, the building was called the “Royal Opera House”.
