If you come from the Hochalm via the Höhenweg and walk towards the valley, you can comfortably hike towards Berwang on this route - of course, vice versa, too. In summer, horses graze on the side of the path - without a paddock or fencing. At the end of the path you come to the (former) "curve" of the Thanellerkarlift, where (as of summer 2020) the Thanellerbahn is currently being built, which will replace the old drag lift.
