With a good 800 meters difference in altitude from Vicdessos, the Port de Lers is not a giant among the Pyrenees passes, but is still very pleasant to drive thanks to low traffic and a very nice road. Initially following the valley bottom, the route climbs rather moderately, leads through very beautiful old oak stands and then in the upper part over some serpentines, but still not excessively steep with the 8% to the open pass.
