The circular lime kiln, built in 1908 from radial bricks and 18 meters high, was used at the beginning of the 20th century to produce quicklime. The stones broken in the nearby Weissjura limestone quarries were brought to the lime kiln by horse and cart and burned there. Depending on the filling quantity, it took several days for the raw lime stone to become quicklime. This was used both for house building and as a fertilizer in agriculture.
