Best Hikes to Pingelturm (Kaiserschleuse Ostfeuer) Lighthouse

Tips

  • The "Kaiserschleuse Ostfeuer" beacon is popularly known as the "Pingelturm". It has a unique selling point with its externally attached fog bell. The bell still works when it is foggy and then strikes four times quickly. The almost 15 m high red brick building of the port builder Rudloff, dating from 1900, can be seen from a distance on the dike.
