The Helen's Tower is a 30 meter high lookout tower in Witten, built in 1858 as a private memorial of the Judicial Council Eduard Strohn in honor of his wife Helene Strohn. Lohmann. She died after a process of ferry charges between the family and the Prussian state. The construction of the tower was financed with the compensation awarded in this process. Since 1909 the tower is the property of the city.

The tower is located in Witten-Mitte in the district of Oberdorf-Helenenberg. From the tower, on the Helenenberg, one of the last foothills of the Ardey Mountains, one has a view over large parts of the city area and, in good weather conditions, to Bochum and Dortmund. This view inspired in 1886 the court photographer Friedrich Goebel to create a 360-degree panoramic photography of the city.

Since there is a need for refurbishment, the tower is currently only opened on special occasions (eg on the day of the open monument).
