The highest waterfall in the Czech part of the Šumava is located in the deep, ravine-like valley of the Bílý potok at an altitude of 940 m above sea level.
Bílá strž is the highest waterfall in Šumava, reaching a total height of 13 meters. It consists of several steps and cascades, the highest of which is 7 meters. In the river bed of the creek there are also so-called giant pots, which are dug up by flowing and swirling water. Remains of the original mountain forest, which has a primeval character, have been preserved on the slopes above the river bed. There is a viewing terrace directly above the waterfall, from which you have a wonderful view of this natural landscape. On the red hiking trail (4 km)

The 200 meters from the road to the viewing platform of the waterfall requires some surefootedness. Direct access to the waterfall is not possible.

A detour to the small waterfall is definitely worth it. When it's wet or in winter, however, you have to be careful - it's very slippery!

The 200 meter long access to the waterfall requires some sure-footedness due to the steep path. Direct access to the waterfall is not possible.

Detours have to be made on foot; it is not suitable for mountain bikes.
