Museum Harbor Leer

A very beautiful, colorful and interesting place with so much to discover!

There isn't just a mermaid in Copenhagen, there is also this Little Mermaid in Leer. This one, as well as another in this small park and the one in front of the Bünting tea shop, were created by the artist Böke. The old harbor extends further into a beautiful open-air museum for and with old ships and everything connected with them. Admission is free.

The Leer museum harbor is located in the middle of the old town and in front of the picturesque backdrop of the Waage. The harbor with its unique ships is freely accessible all year round and is operated and maintained by the Schipperklottje. Every two years the "Meeting of Traditional Ships under the Rathuustoorn" takes place in the museum harbor.
