Hiking Highlight
From the Hammersbach hiking car park, the entrance hut is about 1,045 meters. It takes about 60 to 90 minutes to get there. Incidentally, the entrance fee to the gorge includes a visit to the museum in the gorge.

The Höllentalklamm near Grainau, district Hammersbach, is a real experience. It goes quite uphill before reaching the entrance of the gorge. Through the unique gorge with its many waterfalls, small tunnels and corridors that are lit, the nature lover will find an unforgettable natural spectacle. In the snow-free time around mid-May to late October, the gorge is open 24 hours a day. Please do not forget the appropriate clothing, because it is a pretty wet matter in the gorge and even in summer the temperatures are sometimes cool. The Höllentalanger hut at 1387 m altitude then invites you to stop. You can also spend the night here and there are drying rooms for your clothes if it gets too wet. From the Höllentalangerhütte further climbs such. on the Alpspitze or the Matheisenkar or even on the Zugspitze möglich.Der entry into the Höllentalklamm currently costs: For DAV members adults: € 2.00

A cold beer and the Kaiserschmarrn, then you are truly in 7th heaven.The Kaiserschmarrn is caramelized and is one of the best I've ever eaten!A tour here including the Höllentalklamm is highly recommended.

The museum offers interesting background information on the Höllentalklamm; the small hut where the museum is located is behind the gorge entrance.

The Höllentalklamm is an absolute must if you are in the region around Garmisch. Be sure to go up to the hut

Make sure you have rain gear with you. Especially in damp weather, as the water runs almost continuously from the top of the rock onto you. The water is partly ankle-deep on the path and also flows through the path if enough surface water comes from the field.
Changing clothes in the car is not a bad idea.

Here you can have a last drink before heading into the Höllental gorge. The ascent to the next hut takes about 2 hours and is connected with a good 500m altitude.

This is the entrance hut to the gorge. You have to keep the ticket you bought here if you want to return the same way and want to get out of here.
