From the hiking car park Hammersbach the entrance hut lies at about 1045 meters. The way there is about 60 - 90 minutes. Incidentally, the visit to the museum in the gorge is included in the entrance price of the gorge.

The Höllentalklamm near Grainau, district Hammersbach, is a real experience. It goes quite uphill before reaching the entrance of the gorge. Through the unique gorge with its many waterfalls, small tunnels and corridors that are lit, the nature lover will find an unforgettable natural spectacle. In the snow-free time around mid-May to late October, the gorge is open 24 hours a day. Please do not forget the appropriate clothing, because it is a pretty wet matter in the gorge and even in summer the temperatures are sometimes cool. The Höllentalanger hut at 1387 m altitude then invites you to stop. You can also spend the night here and there are drying rooms for your clothes if it gets too wet. From the Höllentalangerhütte further climbs such. on the Alpspitze or the Matheisenkar or even on the Zugspitze möglich.Der entry into the Höllentalklamm currently costs: For DAV members adults: € 2.00

The museum offers interesting background information on the Höllentalklamm; the small hut where the museum is located is behind the gorge entrance.

Be sure to have rain gear with you. Especially in damp weather, because here the water runs almost continuously from above onto a rock. The water is partly ankle deep on the path and also flows through the path when enough surface water comes from the field.
Changing clothes in the car is not a bad idea.
