Combining ancient history and engineering, the Roman Aqueduct of Mettet is a section of Gallo-Roman aqueduct which supplied water to a large villa in the hamlet of Bauselenne. You can admire the two arches of the aqueduct, one with a pointed top and the other with a rounded top, built with limestone blocks and mortar. The aqueduct is located in the woods, about a kilometer from the center of Mettet, and has been a protected heritage site since 1984. You can learn more about the aqueduct and the villa at the nearby Bauselenne Museum.
