Line 150 is built by the Belgian State Railways to connect the lower Sambre to the French Ardennes: two industrial basins connected by water but for which rail represents a significant acceleration.
In the 2000s, the army abandoned its right to these lines whose infrastructure was in poor condition. In 2008, construction work began on a RAVeL track from the Meuse. A rail bike: the Molignée handcars, is set up on the Denée-Maredsous - Falaën and Falaën - Warnant sections.
