Tips
The Saale Valley Alterbucht is primarily a campsite on the north bank of the Hohenwartestausees. However, many other leisure activities make it an important local recreation and tourist destination in the region. In addition to sunbathing lawns, the beach, swimming, diving and sailing, restaurants and numerous hiking and mountain bike routes that lead around the lake also attract visitors. A highlight is certainly the Viking ship, which is anchored here in summer.
