The church was built in the 13th century as a monastery church.
It was restored in 2004 and today shines in its old beauty.
Old funerary monuments are located to the north, outside the church, on the site of the former cemetery. There is also a memorial stone for the Count von Plessen family, who committed suicide in May 1945. The old cemetery wall was preserved until the 1970s, of which today only an old wrought-iron gate at a different location bears witness. (see Wikipedia)

A visit to the church, whose origins date back to the 13th century, is definitely worthwhile. Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
