Tips
From Cortina d'Ampezzo station at 1.300 mt up to Tofana di Mezzo (3.243 mt) through the 3 parts of the cable car Freccia del Cielo. From the top, after a short path, you can see almost everything! Wonderful 360° view of Marmolada, Sella, Sassongher, Odle, Cavallo, Lavarela, and from far Sassopiatto and Sassolongo, Putia, and Cortina’s mountains: Croda Rosso, Cristallo, Faloria, 5 Torri, and very close other 2 Tofane peaks and behind also Pelmo e Civetta. On the way back by the cable way we decided to get off at the second to last station and close the trip with an easy path (# 413) that is almost sky and bicycle track.

One of the easiest to reach 3000s of the Dolomites with the 3-part cable car. Via the Via Ferrata Formenton you can still climb the Cima Formenton.

At 3,244 m, the Tofana di Mezzo is the highest mountain around Cortina d’Ampezzo. The summit is easy to reach via three cable cars and a 15-minute ascent.
