Olgahafen nature trail
The Olgahafen is located on the western shore of Lake Dümmer and can be reached from Damme via the L853 in the direction of Lembruch.
At six stations you will learn a lot about the valuable development of the Dümmer lowlands over the past decades. The focus is on the use of the meadows and the efforts to preserve the extraordinarily high biodiversity on the Dümmer in the long term. The consequences of the dike construction, the early drainage and the current rewetting for the natural balance are presented from different perspectives. With a short detour to the west tower, the circular route is around 1.7 kilometers long.
