Ingleborough is the first of three peaks during the annual Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross. You do not get here via the normal footpath, but via the 41% steep flanks of Simon Fell. You are only allowed to cycle here on that one day. Other days of the year this mountain is only open to hikers.

There's a bridleway ( the only legal cycling route) right to the top of this impressive hill all the way up from Ingleton. It offers over 500m of ascent in just a few km, but is mainly rideable. After all that hard work, including the occasional push and carry, the descent is superb!
