The route was extended in 1937/38 to the then newly established Lafftwaffenzeugamt near Pötenitz.
The route between Dassow and Pötenitz was closed in 1945 because the tracks were intended as a reparation payment for the Soviet Union. But it was not dismantled until 1949.
