Very beautiful castle, which rises above the harbor entrance of Santiago. You have a great view of the bay of Santiago with the former slave island Cayo Granma.
You should plan a visit in the late afternoon. At sunset, a cannon is fired according to ancient ritual and the Cuban flag caught.
