One of the most important points of the Camino del Cid.
Legend has it that his horse is buried there...

Impressive monastery where the Cid left his daughters and his wife when he was exiled. It is a mandatory stop.
Access is by paved road.
On the ascent that goes further north, there is a path (path of the elms) that leads to Cardeñajimeno, recommended if you go with a mountain bike through the cobblestones.

I visited it during my Camino del Cid. It is a spectacular place, I did not expect to find such an abbey in this place.
This Trappist abbey is reached after a pleasant descent, but if you arrive by bike then you will have to sweat a bit, because everything is uphill (bearing at a calm pace).
