Wilhelm-Kammann Lock Varel

Between land and sea. From here you have a beautiful view of the Jade Bay and the marina "Varler Hafen". Diagonally opposite there is the cafe of the marina, here it is worthwhile to stop for coffee and cake.

The "Wilhelm-Kammann-Schleuse" in Varel is a sluice gate and can only be opened if there is a tie between the outside and inside water. General lockings take place from April to October between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., when there is also high water during this time. Further information about the lock can be found in the links above.
