Legends in particular try to interpret the unknown and mysterious in the sources. Since no excavations (with the exception of the Roman water pipe) have taken place at the Drover Hellige Pötz, we have to rely on these folk tales, which all have a true core. According to tradition, a pagan temple stood on Hellige Pötz, which had sunk at the source. Its water is said to be holy. Whoever draws water from him with impure hands, that is to say guilt-laden, should perish in him. He was also said to be bottomless. One once wanted to measure its depth and tied several rods together. But you didn't get to the bottom. An old man who was just coming in said: "Let go of it because it shouldn't be good to measure Hellige Pötz". drove-info.de/geschichte/bodendenkmale

The hiking trail is very nice and landscaped beautiful. However, you should stay on the trails, as some areas were formerly used as a training ground.
