Steigerwald Center

The concept and philosophy of the Steigerwald Center are to make sustainability tangible through the example of forest management and wood use. The Steigerwald region with its natural resources should be preserved and further developed.

Wood is the dominant theme in the Steigerwald Center, which sees itself as a "model and demonstration object in terms of timber construction, energy transition and climate protection". You can look at the exhibitions inside the building, but you can also take part in guided tours outside in the forest.

The Steigerwald center is open from April to October from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. From November to March, the doors are open to you from Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
