This boundary stone stands on the border of the Bavarian districts Ostallgäu and Unterallgäu. The Dreiländerstein has a triangular shape; each of the three sides points to one of the neighboring countries. The initials and coats of arms of the respective sovereigns are shown in every corner:
CFB-RHM to the northeast for the Electoral Palatinate Bavaria and imperial rule Mindelheim with coat of arms
FSTK to the southeast for the prince monastery Kempten with its coat of arms
RSTY to the east for the Reichsstift Irsee with its coat of arms
