The NSG consists of two subareas. A driveway separates the larger west from the smaller eastern part. In the centers of both areas are slabs with numerous hand-stitches, which are surrounded on the higher, sandy terrain of pine forest. Spruce and birch are only present in a small proportion. The silting peat bites have whitewater companies with extensive stocks of white beaked ruff. In order to preserve the dwarf plumage, some peat bogs have been deserted. The eastern area has a large expanse of water, which is marginally vermoort.
