View of Malges from Rückersberg

The Hünfeld district of Malges is surrounded by forest on the northern foothills of the Rhön and belongs to the Rhön Biosphere Reserve, 5.6 km east and 2.4 km north of Hünfeld.
The village was first mentioned in 1151 as "Alegozes" (court of Adalgoz). A chapel was built in 1750 and a Catholic branch church was built between 1929 and 1931.
In 2001 the 850-year festival took place in Malges. In 2005, the football field planned as part of the village renewal was completed. Malges has a large number of clubs: The volunteer fire brigade and its youth fire brigade have competed in numerous competitions and have always achieved positions in the front field of participants. The Heimat- und Kulturverein e. V. was founded during the village renewal and organizes a variety of activities.Source: Wikipedia
