The Ansbach government councilor Wilhelm Reynitzsch received permission in 1803 to open burial mounds from the Bronze Age and had a memorial erected on the largest burial mound in 1804. The inscriptions carved in there are:"To a brave Wiegand / from our Zennenland / this cenotaph / of stones without numbers / was raised in the holy grove / to be commemorated."The stone was obtained from a quarry in the area. At the same time, a findable corpse cremation place and a court place no longer existed were created.

On a small forest clearing is the "heath hill" with the legendary rune stone. Through the silence of the forest one sees oneself at the first sight in the time of the Germans. One thinks to stand in front of a rider's grave, where horse and man are buried together. Read the scripture inscribed on the side: "To a valiant Wigand from our Zennenland this memorial of stones without number was raised in the sacred grove to be a commemorative". Or the above mysterious runes, they were then translated by the ancient scientist Huscher from Ansbach following: "This is the stone of Augiona Varlag, Wigands Teutschmann from Zannua - The burial mound has built Alfruner u.s.d."
