Nice sight with a nice story. The place also lends itself for a break, there is a bench under and on top of the rock.

If you climb the rocks by means of stairs, you will find a sundial made in 1926 at the top. There is also a bench up there to rest, but no view, because the trees have grown too high for that. I visited the site on a rainy day. It is questionable whether there is enough sun here to show the time? However, the few stairs are climbed quickly, why not - go up and take a look.Quote wort.lu

MARSCHERWALD - Have you already visited the «Sonnenauer» in the Marscherwald?Probably the most famous place or the most striking point in the Marscherwald is the "sundial".
The ledge on which the sundial was carved into a slab of rock by 2 residents from Kobenbour in 1926 is a little off the well-known circular hiking trail, also called Sentier Henri Mamer (SHM). It is a difficult climb of around 100 m in length to get to the hill, from where you can see the "sundial". Even if climbing the stairs is a little arduous and tiring, you shouldn't miss it on your hike and definitely stop by here.
This "sundial", even if it is old, is still as intact today as it was made in 1926 by Messrs M. DUPONT and M. BECK from Kobenbour. It is not known why the two residents created the "sundial" here.
