Hiking

The War Memorial Chapel in Reit im Winkl was built in 1923/24 according to plans by architect Bruno Biehler. It commemorates the fallen and missing soldiers of both World Wars and bears the names of 146 fallen soldiers on marble plaques inside. A centrally located Baroque building, it stands above the Grünbühel and offers a striking view of the town. The chapel is part of the Chapel Trail and is still used today for commemorations such as Remembrance Day.
