A little south of the village Raben lies the high medieval castle Rabenstein. The castle was built in the 13th century in Feldsteinbauweise and should serve to control the highway from Wittenberg to Brandenburg on the Havel. Today a castle and a small hostel are operated in the castle. There are also regular knight games and other medieval themed events.

If you come to Raben, you should pay a visit to the castle. On clear days, climbing the tower is a must! In addition, in the pretty Backhaus in previous years fresh bread and cakes were offered - very delicious! When I was there in 2017, the Backhaus was not in operation. Or maybe it was the early hour.
