The small community of Mello (681 meters above sea level) is officially in the Val the Mello, but in truth about 300 meters above the bottom of the valley. Mello offers a magnificent view of the north arm of Lake Como, about 10 km away and about 400 meters below, and the town of Colico on the shores of the same.
