Hiking Highlight (Segment)
In the Tister peat bog you can see thousands of cranes every autumn. You can drive with a Moorbahn from the parking lot to the observation tower, or alternatively run back in the dark with the flashlight.
Unfortunately, the observation tower is clearly overcrowded with people, and a lot of it is also being slobbered.
Incidentally, the birds can only be found at dawn and dusk. During the day they were literally flown out. But it is still nice there.
A beautiful path leads from the station of the Moorbahn into the moor and ends at 2 observation towers. On the way again and again small parallel paths that lead through the moor. It is worthwhile in any case occasionally to leave the main path and to take the signposted byways from time to time.
