There once was a chapel on Martin-Luther-Platz. Unfortunately it no longer exists but its outline is marked on the ground.Martin-Luther-Platz is scheduled to be redesigned in the near future. I'm excited to see how it turns out.Personally, I think the Königsplatz (market square) next to it is nicer.

To the right of the Schwabach, the market square was built around 1300 and is now adjacent to the Schwabach town hall. The town hall has its origins in a vestibule from the 16th century; Over the centuries, the sandstone ground floor was supplemented by two half-timbered upper floors. The roof of the corner tower has been shining golden since the restoration in 2002 - a reminiscence of the gold fight. Many representative town houses still adorn the district to the right of the Schwabach. They often come from the period of reconstruction after the Thirty Years War.

The Königsplatz (market square) has been the center of Schwabach since the town became a market (approx. 1303) and has remained so to this day. Only the wealthiest and most influential citizens of the city, with their sometimes magnificent estates, lived here. In the east, the rectangular square is bounded by the town hall and the tower of the town church that protrudes behind it.This ensemble is a formative motif for the city and is depicted most frequently.Until 1885, Königsplatz was simply called Marktplatz. Only then was it renamed in honor of the Bavarian royal family. It was added to the west side of the royal court and later the monk's court when the market was laid out.
