Well maintained shelter hut at the foot of the Avalanche Gulch ascent to the most frequently used route to Mt Shasta summit. No phone signal, but frequent passers-by at the intersection of the trails leading to Shastina/Hidden Valley/Casaval Ridge and the main Olberman's causeway to Avalanche gulch can help to get back to the Bunny Flat parking lot (about 1 hour walk).
