The rose garden was handed over to the people of Winterthur in 1964 as part of the city's 700th anniversary celebrations. Around 2900 roses of 300 varieties bloom in the garden every year. These include rare and historic roses. In the rose garden on the Heiligberg, visitors will find a place of peace and a magnificent view over the city of Winterthur in addition to the flowers.
