Mountaineering Highlight

The Seebensee lies at an altitude of approx. 1657 meters just above the Ehrwalder Alm in the Mieming Mountains. For me it is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes with a wonderful view of the Zugspitze, the Vorderen Taja- and Drachenkopf and the Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze. From here you can go on numerous, demanding mountain tours and it is absolutely addictive!
The lake can be reached very easily from Ehrwald or Leutasch - don't forget your bike! ;-)
The route by bike from the valley station of the Ehrwalder Alm to the mountain station is, however, quite steep and only recommended for bikers with good fitness levels. "The good guys can do it in under 30 minutes", I let the lift staff tell me. I preferred to take my bike with me into the gondola - which was possible without any problems and at no extra charge!

Another and much more scenic variant with the mountain bike is the route from Leutasch in a pleasant incline and partly flat through the beautiful Gaistal, always with a view of the Mieminger chain and the Wetterstein Mountains, past the Igelsee to the Seebenalm and finally over rough gravel steeper to Seebensee.
Parking spaces "Salzbach", which are subject to a fee, are located in 6105 Leutasch, Klamm 1. There are several parking spaces one behind the other; the last one even has a building with toilets.
Tip: The Seebensee is just below the Coburger Hütte. The approx. 250 m there can be easily reached in a 30-minute walk.
Oh yes ... Baden - I thought it was wonderful. But apparently only very few dare to go into the water. I can't understand why ... ;-)

The Seebensee is a mountain lake as you will not find it again. Embedded in a wonderful mountain scenery between Ehrwalder Alm and Coburger Hütte, he invites you to linger. The crystal-clear water reflects the surrounding mountains and gives a fabulous picture.
