Arboretum Baierbacher Hof:
Historical background The "Hospital of the Holy Spirit in Schwäbisch Hall" foundation acquired the Baierbach estate in 1970 and in the years that followed set up a forest youth camp site on the flat area. Youth groups can spend leisure time and weekends here at low cost in the midst of largely untouched nature. In the mid-1980s, an arboretum was set up at the bottom of the valley and on the southern slope, which was sparsely planted with fruit trees, in order to offer local young people another job opportunity. Over the years, however, the arboretum fell into a deep slumber. The forestry training company of the Hospital Foundation - supported by the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park - added to the arboretum in 2008, signposted it and provided information material.
