The quarry Lasbeck produces up to 900,000 tons of building materials per year. Road builders value the Lasbecker greywacke because of their high quality. The rock is used as antifreeze and base course in the substructure of roads and is used as at least fourfold crushed chippings in high-quality asphalt surface layers used. The so-called polishing value of the Lasbecker greywacke is significantly higher than usual. Thus, the rock products also withstand the strongest demands.
