On the north side of the Meerfeld Maar, at the highest elevation of the crater at approximately 516 meters, stands a twelve-meter-high wooden observation tower: the Landesblick. From here, you have an outstanding view of Meerfeld, the maar, and the surrounding area. In clear weather, it's simply breathtaking.

Not far from the city of Manderscheid, at the village of Meerfeld, is the Meerfelder Maar. It belongs to the water-filled marshes of the Eifel.
At its highest crater elevation is the "Landesblick" prospect. From there, the visitor has a great panoramic view of the Eifel landscape and the Maarsee.
