On the snowshoe tour "Chrindi - Oberstockensee - Cheibehore - Chrindi" you pass the Oberstockensee. A fantastic sight when the frozen lake lies in front of you.
If the ice is thick enough and the lake is "released", you can easily cross it. Otherwise it can be bypassed on both sides. Be careful if you get caught by the lake before the first rays of sunshine ... the hollow is a real cold hole and the temperatures can be a lot colder than in the higher elevations. Brrr ... :-)
