Beautiful mountain lake. Especially when the Schreckhorn is reflected in it.

Easy to reach from First. Wide gravel road. Often many hikers on the way.

The lake and the panorama are beautiful, unfortunately totally overrun by countless tourists

Since 2018 there has been a great new bike trail from Bachalpsee down to the Waldspitz restaurant. Unthinkable in Grindelwald until a few years ago.

Absolutely fantastic lake and view. Avoid the weekend, because the tourist caravan can be huge.

Beautiful mountain lake. Unfortunately, a lot of people on the way from the First to the Bachalpsee. Crossing and driving past is not a problem, as the gravel road is wide enough.
The descent via the Bachalpsee Trail and others to Grindelwald is one of the most beautiful things this region has to offer!

It's great fun to Bachalpsee! From the lake towards Faulhorn it gets partly steep: steep and a lot of gravel and large stones in the lane! I gave the last 300 m to the summit for free! The downhill trails to Grindelwald are an experience!

Wide gravel paths from the First to Bachalpsee; crossing with hikers hardly problematic! Then towards Faulhorn it gets quite rocky or the ground is gravel!

Because of the many baikers, the relaxed hiking experience is lost! Unfortunately, there is hardly a mountain left without a biker!
Suggestion: better separate the hiking trail from the biker trail.

Off-peak times result in the most beautiful photos and you also find yourself among fewer tourists.
